. . . . . . . . . Maximoto Newspaper January 2008 "La meme en mieux : " => The same but better If there's a model which is outstanding all chinese motorcycles distributed in hexagone (hexagone is the shape of France so it's how french people call our country), it's the dax Skyteam, replika of original DAX produce by Honda up to 1999. But the quality of Chinese model are very far from first produceur in the world..... Aware of this problem, Spigaou motors (it's us !!!!), one of the first french importer of this model, decide to produce elsewhere (but still in China) and under their own brand near from european quality standard. The Spigaou DAX is different from Skyteam on several points : improvement of reliability, semi-automatic clutch "like original", improvement of performance (9,2 cv and 95 km/h), desing improved.... All these improvement for a price between 1190 and 1490 depending of model. To summarize, it's huge enough to make Dax lover ready to use this "middle empire" (Chinese name like hexagone for France). | | The famous Honda Dax 70-80 years reviewing the day with the Spigaou from Marseille. Why "Spigaou"? "This is the name of a South of France herb that places itself in the ears of dogs," says Frederic Pesseguier, director of logistics Spigaou, on the stand of JPMS: "French people from South all know what it is!" After halting the production of Dax in 1999 because of its low volume of sales, the famous little Honda had already been taken over by the Chinese manufacturer Jincheng (including producer of the Aprilia Scarabeo, "says Frederic) under the Skyteam appellation, with a manual transmission.
Spigaou Motors today claimed a "better quality of manufacture, a box semi-automatic clutch identical to the original Dax, colors" fashion "and many options as aluminum wheels, upholstery improved and the chrome-meter tower for about 200 euros, "says the manager.
"The Spigaou is not a "China Scooter" increasingly marketed on the Internet," the director logistics, "it is sold in stores in a dozen resellers in the region okf Marseille" at a price of Euro 1490 and the 125 cc 1190 euros on 50 cc. .
Some 200 machines have already been sold since end of 2007: a promising new start for this sympathetic and mythical small craft? to follow ! To be continued! | | | LE JOURNAL MOTO DU NET - © WWW.MOTO-NET.COM THE JOURNAL OF NET MOTO - © WWW.MOTO-NET.COM |
